Video Poker is a favored game that is able to be gambled on in casinos throughout the world, or in your house on your computer, through an Internet connection. The rules are absolutely straightforward and involve the player attempting to achieve the greatest mixture of cards achievable in order to come away with money. In this respect it’s very similar as a classic game of poker, minus the line of contact with competing players. The game of Electronic Poker begins when the gambler puts credits (either tokens, tickets or money) into the video poker machine and presses the draw button. A hand of 5 cards will be "dealt" on the screen.
The Video Poker machine also has buttons with ‘hold’ printed on them, and bettors will need to now pick which cards to keep and which to throw away. For the cards the gambler wishes to keep, the ‘hold’ buttons must be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can decide to keep any amount of cards they want, from all to none.
After the player has chosen which cards he wishes to keep, the player will then press ‘deal’, at which point any fresh cards are dealt if desired. The game is now finished, with the Electronic Poker machine scanning the cards to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands printed on the payment schedule.
Normally, the minimum winning hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money growing for each and every better hand. A list of common winning hands begins with jacks or better, and moves on to two pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It should be known that the payout schedule can range from machine to machine, so that experienced gamblers are agile enough to pick the most money-making machine each and every time.
Once the initial round has completed, the player can either choose to stay on in an attempt to increase their winnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any money that they may have won. Further, a few versions of the game give the bettor a chance to increase their winnings, in which case a further round is played. There are also variations between individual machines, with some decks of cards including wild cards and other differing characteristics to increase playability.
