A common list of winning hands starts with jacks or better, and moves on to 2 pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It goes without saying that the payment schedule can range from game to game, so that knowledgeable gamblers are able to select the most money-making game every time.
After the first round has played out, the player can either decide to remain on in an attempt to maximize their winnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any credits that have been won. Additionally, several styles of the game give the player a chance to double their profits, in which situation another hand is played. There are also variations among specific machines, with some virtual decks having wild cards and other varying elements to enhance playability.
