The game rules are absolutely straightforward and involve the player trying to get the greatest combination of cards possible in order to come away with money. Normally, the minimum winning hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money getting larger for each better hand. A list of common winning hands starts with jacks or better, moving on to 2 pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It should be known that the pay out schedule can range from machine to machine, so that skillful players are able to choose the most profitable ones each time.
After the first round has completed, the player can either decide to continue on and try to to increase their winnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any cash that has been won. Further, a few versions of the game allow the bettor a chance to increase their winnings, in which instance a further hand is played. There are also differences among individual machines, with some virtual decks including wild cards and other varying aspects to increase playability.
