After the bettor has decided on which cards he or she would like to keep, they should press ‘draw’, at which point any fresh cards will be needed they will be handed out. The hand is now finished, with the Electronic Poker machine analyzing the cards to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands shown on the pay out schedule.

Normally, the minimum succeeding hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money growing for each and every better hand. A list of common winning hands begins with jacks or better, and moves on to two pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It goes without saying that the pay out schedule can change from machine to machine, so that experienced gamblers are agile enough to pick the most profitable machine each and every time.

Once the initial round has played out, the player can either decide to remain on and try to to maximize their winnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any credits that they may have won. Additionally, some versions of the game allow the player a chance to increase their winnings, in which instance a further hand is played. There are also differences among specific games, with some virtual decks including wild cards and other differing characteristics to increase playability.
