Electronic Poker is a beloved game that usually will be enjoyed in casinos throughout the globe, or alternatively at home on your PC, through a web account. The game rules are absolutely simple and consist of the player trying to get the best mixture of cards as you can in order to win money. On this account it is much the same as a classic game of poker, minus the involvement with any other players. Of course, methods employed during a physical game of poker, like bluffing, will be irrelevant here.
The game of Video Poker starts when the player puts credits (whether it’s tokens, credit slips or cash) into the machine and pushes the draw button. A five card hand will be "given out" on the video screen.
The Video Poker game also has buttons with ‘hold’ written on them, and gamblers should now decide which cards to hold and which to discard. For the cards the player would like to keep, the ‘hold’ buttons must be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can decide to keep any number of cards they wish, from all to none.
After the player has decided on which cards she wishes to retain, they should press ‘draw’, which will mean that any new cards are needed they will be given out. The game is now completed, with the Video Poker machine scanning the hand to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands shown on the payment schedule.
Normally, the minimum succeeding hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money increasing for each better hand. A list of common winning hands starts with jacks or better, moving on to 2 pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It goes without saying that the payout schedule can change from game to game, so that knowledgeable enthusiasts are agile enough to select the most profitable game each time.
As soon as the initial round has played out, the player can either decide to continue on in an attempt to maximize their winnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any money that they may have won. Additionally, a few versions of the game give the gambler an opportunity to double their wins, in which case another hand is played. There are also variations between specific machines, with some decks of cards including wild cards and other differing elements to enhance playability.
