Electronic Poker : Gambling Hints

[ English ]

Like to wager on electronic poker games? Step into any casino in Las Vegas and one item you will quickly realize is that the betting houses spend a lot of layout space on machines. A lot of that floor space goes to Video Poker. If you have played electronic Poker for any amount of time, you understand that not all machines were created the same. As time has gone by, more and more "specialty" electronic poker machines have come into being. Today, I am going to share some of my electronic Poker tips, I hope you will like them.

Hint One: Locating a great video poker machine

Finding a great game is as easy as looking at the payout schedule. You certainly want to stay away from specialty pay games that have larger top payouts, but minimize the lower pay outs. For instance, a game could pay a bit more on 4 of a kind, but will pay a lot less on two pair, flushes and full houses. Since you will rack up smaller scale pay outs often, mainly because of the chance of receiving these hands, you should be looking for a great lower scale payout system.

Hint Two: Wagering Plan

Figuring out how to gamble optimally is a must. Your wagering plan will, in the long run, determine your typical return and your final cash amount. Understanding what action to take in a situation where you have, e.g., 2 Kings, but four to the flush is vital. Do you hold the Kings and the guaranteed money or toss the dice for the harder to hit flush? Playing a good machine with a great strategy will give you a fantastic chance to earn money over the long run.

Tip Three: It is random

For years, I have observed folks wager on Video Poker in Atlantic City using all sorts of groundless actions. Some will only use cold credits to play, some will depress the buttons with gusto, some will tap the game with their cash before wagering and the list just keeps going. Each hand is setup by a RNG. The second you start to wager, the hand is set in rock. The game will randomly select all the cards from a deck and deal them out.

Hint Four: There’s Absolutely no Recollection

This is a big one. Most gamblers figure that if they start to observe hands with 3 of a kind, four to the royal and so forth that the bigger hands are about to hit. This is simply incorrect. As described in hint 3, the system uses a random number generator to build the hands. The system has absolutely no memory. It doesn’t have knowledge that you have not received a full house in 400 hands or that you’ve just had 3, 4 of a kind hands in sequence. It’s possible to go 100,000 hands without a 4 of a kind and it is possible to get 10 in a row. The machine doesn’t track, because at the end of it all, the numbers are a wash.

I hope these pointers have helped you blossom as a Video Poker player. Misconceptions on how the game works can be a whole lot more deadly than merely gambling incorrectly. I’ve seen individuals spend (and lose) thousands of dollars on a video poker machine just because they believed the machine had a memory and was "due" to hit. Do not become trapped like this. Be aware that Video Poker is random and must be wagered on correctly. Now, go enjoy yourself.
